Injectable or immersion vaccine that protects against Vibrio anguillarum (syn. Listonella anguillarium) serotypes 01 and 02.
Vibriosis caused by Vibrio anguillarum serotypes 01 and 02 can affect a variety of farmed fish species around the world. Vaccination is a well established management strategy and a cost effective method of preventing outbreaks of Vibriosis.
Product Description 
Vibriosis vaccine consists of protective antigens from inactivated strains of Vibrio anguillarum serotypes 01 & 02.
This product can be administered to fish by injection vaccination or by immersion vaccination.
For an immersion vaccination program, booster vaccination is recommended.
Recommended Use
- Early immersion vaccination of juveniles.
- Injection vaccination of juveniles prior to transfer to saltwater.
Administration
Immersion
- Dilute entire contents of vaccine bottle in 9 litres of clean water
- One litre will vaccinate 100 kg of fish.
- Minimum fish size, 3 grams.
Injection
- Injection volume 0.1 ml, intraperitoneally
- Recommended needle size, 22 - 25 gauge.
- One litre will vaccinate 10,000 fish. Minimum fish size, 15 grams.
Considerations
- Vaccine only healthy fish.
- Store at 2º - 7ºC (35º - 45ºF).
- Shake well before use.
- Use entire contents when first opened.
- Do not store partially used vaccine bottles.
- Vaccination should precede potential exposure to pathogens by at least 400-degree days.*
- Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
- Anaesthetize fish prior to injection vaccination.
- Accidental injection in humans can cause a severe allergic response; medical attention should be sought immediately.
*Number of days multiplied by the mean water temperature in degrees Celsius.
