Furunculosis, Vibriosis, Coldwater Vibriosis, Winter Sores injectable vaccine; consists of the protective antigens from inactivated strains of Aeromonas salmonicida, Vibrio anguillarum serotypes 01 & 02, Vibrio salmonicida, Moritella viscosa. Inactivated and stabilized bacterial antigens are combined with a novel adjuvant to produce a stable vaccine providing high levels and duration of protection.

  • Stable water-in-oil adjuvant system gives superior long-term protection and minimal side effects.
  • Promotes high levels of cell-mediated immunity.
  • This product is administered to salmonids by injection vaccination.
  • Easy to inject at low temperatures.
  • Entire contents of 500 ml bottle can be delivered; no wasted vaccine.

Recommended Use

  • Inject pre-smolts prior to saltwater transfer.

Administration

  • Injection volume 0.1 ml, intraperitoneally.
  • Recommended needle size, 22 - 25 gauge.
  • 500 ml will vaccinate 5,000 fish.
  • Minimum fish size, 10 grams.

Considerations

  • Vaccinate only healthy fish.
  • Store at 2º - 7ºC (35º - 45ºF).
  • Shake well before use.
  • Connections to the bottle should be made aseptically.
  • Use entire contents when first opened.
  • Do not store partially used vaccine bottles.
  • Vaccination should precede potential exposure to pathogens by at least 400-degree days.*
  • Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
  • Anaesthetize fish prior to injection vaccination.
  • Accidental injection in humans may cause a severe allergic response; medical attention should be sought immediately.
